Burning with Feurio...

Feurio is another German CD burning program (yes, they're poised to take over the world. Again) that has plenty of knobs and buttons. It may seem dauntingly complex at first, but it's really no biggie. Just take me by the hand we'll go off to Teutonia to burn some CDs...

Feurio can be downloaded in a trial version from www.feurio.de

Here's the main project window in the Feurio CD Manager. To the left is the contents of your harddrive, with all the tracks you've extracted earlier.

Just select them all (click on the first track, hold down SHIFT and then click on the last track), then drag-and-drop them into the project window.

As with Nero, Feurio by default uts in two-second pauses between the tracks (although Feurio calls them indexes). This has to be fixed, obviously.

To rectify this, select all the tracks, right-click and select Track Parameters.

In the window that pops up, select "Don't insert pauses between tracks - round track markers". Then click OK.

Time to burn.

Click burn (1). In the window that pops up, check the write speed (2). Writing CD-R at a too high speed (as marked on the blanks) can produce unpredictable results. Mark the option that says Burn (3), and then hit the Burn CD button (4).

Feurio will proceed to burning the CD. Don't mess around with computer during the burn process, or you'll produce nice, shiny coasters.

If something goes awry during the recording process, Feurio will tell you so. Otherwise, you will have produced a nice, flawless CD!
